Paper Cuts

I was searching for inspiration one day and stumbled on Frederic Sommer who made these intricate, crazy, cutouts and photographed the shadows they made. The experiment below is in no way an original idea. And maybe it wasn’t original for him, either. But I was really drawn to the idea of sculpting with paper and the images that could be drawn out using light.
